Accommodation is one of our most essential needs; be it on a long or short term basis, we all are entitled to live in a safe and comfortable environment.  This is why selecting where you are to live is as important as selecting your school. Here are some of the main options of accommodation in the UK:

Staying with a family

Renting a room in a family house is the most common type of accommodation amongst students. You are given your own room where you can study and rest in peace. You will eat with the family; so by having breakfast and dinner with the family, you will learn about the family structure and cultural aspects of life in the UK. Staying with a family is also safe.

Staying in university residentials

Students who come to the UK for their university education may be able to find accommodation in the college halls. There are rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom as well as rooms with own bathroom. The rent of the rooms depends on the number of people living in them. However, not many language schools have this facility and those which do, are very expensive. Some language schools hire university halls during the summer when they are not in use for their students on summer courses.

Accommodation in hostels or in hotels

This option is preferred mostly by students who come for short term courses. You can stay in a hostel or hotel near your school and within your budget.

Renting a room

As differently from staying with a family, when you rent a room, you share the house  with other people who may be students like yourselves or people who work. Here you will also share your kitchen and bathroom but you can live your life independently. This makes it an attractive option for many people.
